April 26, 2018: "Ocean Engineering Special Achievement Award" was awarded to undergraduate members for their contributions to the Aggie Ocean Discovery Team.

March 17, 2018: Announced as one of the world’s top 9 teams competing in the Shell XPRIZE®, based on a demonstration of developed technology. The team shared a $1 million milestone award with 8 other teams, collecting $111,111.11 in London at Oceanology International 2018.
